Ask about allergens when you order: US food law names nine major allergens (milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy and sesame), and kitchens can tell you which dishes contain them.
Restaurant inspection results are kept by the city or county health department; many publish them online or post the latest grade at the door.
For table service a tip of 15–20% is customary; at counter-service places tipping is optional.

I highly recommend Bar Baleno for your next Charlottesville event! I had a welcome party here for my wedding and the team could not have been more lovely and helpful, from planning the menu to setting up the space with beautiful bud vases and candles to making our guests feel right at home! The buffet was delicious and flowed perfectly and I loved how we could build our own bar menu for our guests. Thanks, Bar Baleno!!

We used Bar Baleno / Lampo for our wedding rehearsal dinner and for the welcome event for our incoming family. Things couldn't have gone more smoothly. The rehearsal dinner was done coctktail style with plenty of room for socializing and one large table for the older crowd to sit at. This transitioned into a cash bar welcome event for the other 120+ guests who RSVPd to the welcome event. The transition was smooth, and Shelly (our contact there) was the best. No complaints at all.

We hosted a graduation party at Lampo Bar Baleno on Friday night and it was wonderful! Shelly was a pleasure to work with. She was responded to all my questions quickly and was there during our event. I really wasn't expecting that. I did not get the bartenders name, unfortunately. She was so pleasant. The food of course was great. It was so nice to be able to enjoy the party myself, knowing that everything was taken care of

We moved out of Cville two years ago and my daughter wanted one thing for her birthday...a sweet 16 held at Lampo (Bar Baleno). As always, the food, staff, and service were nothing short of perfection. We had about 40 people, a DJ and a photo booth, and the space was very comfortable with a great flow. Everything was perfect from start to finish! Throw your next event here!

We held our Welcome Party for our wedding weekend at Lampo/Bar Baleno and it was flawless. The planning, service and execution of the event was seamless. Shelly and her team went above and beyond to make the event stress-free and perfect for our guests and family. Shelly is a great communicator and easy to work with. The food was fantastic and drinks were great. We were so happy with how it all went. Cannot recommend renting it out for an event enough or even going for dinner :).
